Global Plastic Bag Ban

An estimated trillion single use plastic bags are consumed each year.

These bags litter our oceans where they threaten our marine life. Did you know there is a huge swath of the Pacific Ocean called the "Pacific Garbage Patch" ? This floating dump is hundreds of miles wide and consists mostly of plastic debris caught  in the ocean's currents. Countless species are now suffering the consequences.

Unfortunately only a small percentage of these bags are recycled each year, and most float about the landscape and create a tremendous expense in clean-up costs. Numerous countries have already banned the plastic bag. The most effective way has been by creating a plastic bag tax that  has reduced consumption by as much as 95%.

The single use bags are now being  replaced with reusable bags such as non-woven polypropylene, canvas, jute, and other eco-frriendly reusabe product

A GLOBAL PLASTIC BAG BAN OR TAX JUST MIGHT BE COMING WITHIN THE NEXT DECADE!
